Silver Iguana

Happy Cinco de Mayo Brunchies!

For our first outing we chose the Silver Iguana over on Winton road in the heart of the North Winton Village of Rochester. Cinco de Mayo is a great holiday, I mean who doesn't love tacos and tequila?!

From the second we walked up we felt welcomed! There was a festive walk way of balloons and we were politely greeted upon entry. The restaurant is very unique on the inside. There are dark and light wood finishes on the gorgeous bar, on all the tables and on the exposed beams throughout the restaurant.  Along with all the festive Mexican style decorations, it made the atmosphere feel very authentic.

For our beverages we chose a Tequila sunrise mimosa, and The Jose bean iced coffee beverage which has vodka and tres leches in it. Both drinks hit the spot and were just strong enough! They also had an assortment of other brunch beverages to chose from, it was almost impossible to pick just one.

For our entrees, we indulged in avocado toast topped with pico de gallo. The toast was crispy and seasoned well. It was topped with fresh sliced avocado. The pico added great flavor to the dish and the perfectly cooked egg was the best finishing touch. Also on the table was an order of chilaquiles. It was topped with a choice of meat, on ours was the pork carnitas. The pork was cooked so well, it melted in your mouth. It was my personal favorite part of the dish it added so much extra texture, and flavor.

Attached is the brunch menu with more details to the dishes and beverages they have to offer. I also attached photos from our personal experience with the dishes!
Over all good experience, we would brunch again!
